Return Policy

Cougar offers a 30 day Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, within 30 days of your purchase date, you can return your item for a prompt refund or exchange. Refund for items returned within 30 days of the purchase date will be credited in the same form as the original payment type. Refund for items returned more than thirty days after the purchase date will be in the form of a company credit redeemable on your next purchase. The original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. If you have an exchange for the same dollar amount as the original purchase, no additional shipping or handling charges will be incurred. If your product is under warranty we will gladly repair it for you at no charge.

If your lawn mower's defect or malfunction is engine related, please use the Briggs and Stratton Engine Service Center locator in the link provided for the nearest authorized service center near you. Upon examination by a Briggs and Stratton authorized service center, repair charges for non warranty work may apply. This includes but not limited to repairs resulting from any of the following: normal wear and tear, trash, contamination or water in the gas, broken crankshafts, bent crankshafts, abuse, neglect; or normal maintenance.

If your lawn mower's defect or malfunction is non engine related, please contact Cougar Lawn and Garden Service via our Contact Us link above for return authorization. Upon examination by Cougar Lawn and Garden Service Center, repair charges for non warranty work may apply. This includes but not limited to repairs resulting from any of the following: normal wear and tear, trash, contamination, physical abuse, and neglect. Repairs for any item related to material defect and workmanship will be at no charge.

Please mail your package in a prepaid, insured, traceable method to the address below after receiving your return authorization number.

Warranty Statement
For 2 years from the date the product was purchased, should this product fails to function due to a defect in material or workmanship Cougar Lawn and Garden will replace or repair the unit. Contact Cougar Lawn and Garden at warranty@cougarlawnandgarden.com for return authorization.

This warranty does not apply to or include components that can wear out due to normal wear and tear due to normal use. Items not covered under normal wear and tear include but are not limited to:
• Spark plugs, belts, mower blades, blade adapters, air cleaners, and transmissions

Additionally, the warranty does not apply to or include abuse of use by the operator or repairs due to abuse by the operator. The warranty does not cover negligence due to failure of the operator to maintain the equipment properly as described in the instructions that come with this product. This includes but not limited to repairs resulting from any of the following: normal wear and tear, trash, contamination or water in the gas, broken crankshafts, bent crankshafts, abuse, neglect; or normal maintenance.

If the product is ever used for commercial or rental purposes, the warranty will not exceed 90 days.

If the product is returned, all transportation cost incurred by the purchaser to Cougar Lawn and Garden will be at the expense of the purchases unless a material defect in workmanship is found by Cougar Lawn and Garden.

This warranty is only to be used or applied in the United States.

There is no other express warranty.

This warrant gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state.

The above written warranty does not apply to engines and their components. Engines and their components are warranted separately by their manufacturers. Additionally this warranty does not apply to parts that have been abused or damaged by incident or accident, alteration, improper lubrication, normal wear and tear, or any other causes beyond our control.
